    The Electronics & Communication Department under the Student Startup & Innovation Policy (SSIP), organized a webinar on “Design Driven Innovation for Faculties - Startup & Entrepreneurship” on July 12th, 2021 at 03:30 PM on Zoom Meeting Platform. The eminent speaker of the webinar Mr. Rohit Swarup, is the Chairman of Innovation and Research Foundation, and founder of Explorra Education Pvt. Ltd and Future Xplored. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kiran Trivedi and Prof. Navin Ganeshan. The webinar was attended by over 40 participants.

    The prime objective of the webinar was to encourage faculties in building up a healthy startup ecosystem at the institute. The webinar focused on the use of Design Engineering and Thinking in teaching pedagogy, challenges and opportunities for startup creation and success, Startup & Innovation Ecosystem at the Campus. Some case studies were also demonstrated to make participants realize the importance of Innovation and Startups.

    There was interaction between the faculty members and the expert regarding how to promote startups amongst students. Discussion on faculties’ role in nurturing startups was also the key point of the webinar. The expert also highlighted how an institute can become a place of Dissemination, Innovation & Promotion for early Startups.
