Their achievement reflects exceptional technical skills, innovation, and excellence in the field of chemical engineering.

Dharmanathi Karan, Bhatiya Kishan, Sonagara Bhavin, and Kasundra Khushi (BE Chemical) secured Third Prize at the Sustainability Tank Event organized under Chemo Clave 2.0 at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. Guided by Dr. Sonal Bhagat, the team was recognized for their innovative project titled Dehalogenation of Pyrolytic Oil from Printed Circuit Boards with Rice Husk, showcasing sustainable solutions for waste valorization and environmental protection.60

The team qualified for the regional round to be held at NICMAR, Pune, Maharashtra. The achievement was recognized with individual tablets, a winner's trophy, and certificates. The team members are Divanshu Chauhan, Dhruv Brahmbhatt, and Pratham Bhavsar, under the mentorship of Dr. D. J. Varia and Dr. P. N. Nimodiya.

Students of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department secured a place among the Top 10 teams in Gujarat at the IBM AI Innovation Challenge 2026. The team developed an AI-based Leaf Disease and Nutrient Stress Detection System that assists farmers with early disease identification and intelligent agricultural recommendations. The project was developed by Shrey Patel, Aditya Pandya, and Priyanshi Patel.

The winning team, Deep Defenders, developed an AI-driven KYC Verification System designed to address challenges such as fake documents, identity misuse, and audio/video deepfake threats in digital onboarding.

The winning project, Detection of the Healthiness of Tubes of Various Equipment of Power Plants, showcased an innovative solution for monitoring and assessing the condition of critical power plant equipment, demonstrating the team's technical excellence and problem-solving capabilities.

Their presentation on “The Montreal Protocol: A Success Story in Ozone Protection” was recognized for its excellence and innovation, bringing pride to the Chemical Engineering Department.

Hinal Ravat (BE Chemical) achieved a remarkable milestone by being selected as the Reserve Goalkeeper for the Indian Women’s Blind Football Team for the IBSA Women’s Blind Football World Championship 2025. Following her outstanding performance in the national selection trials held from 14th to 16th August 2025, she was invited to attend the final national training camp at Kochi, Kerala, scheduled from 15th September to 2nd October 2025.

Under the guidance of Prof. K. P. Patel, the team developed an innovative photocatalyst-based treatment process for the removal of dyes from industrial wastewater. The project offers an environmentally sustainable solution for wastewater treatment and highlights the students’ research, innovation, and commitment to addressing real-world industrial challenges.

The project features a high-voltage detecting safety helmet designed to enhance the safety of electrical line workers by helping prevent fatal accidents. The award-winning team comprised Jheel Prajapati (Team Leader), Tirth Chauhan, Yatish Gandhi, and Rishi Chauhan, whose innovation demonstrated significant societal impact and engineering excellence.
