On 26th April 2024, the Civil Engineering Department of VGEC successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “AutoCAD Basics” in collaboration with CADD Centre, Chandkheda. The session was conducted by Mr. Sani Chaurasiya, expert trainer from the CADD Centre, and offered an insightful, hands-on introduction to fundamental concepts and tools of AutoCAD, a crucial software in the field of Civil Engineering.

The workshop began at 10:30 AM and continued until 3:00 PM, providing participants with practical demonstrations and real-time design examples. Mr. Chaurasiya emphasized the importance of drafting accuracy, layer management, and basic commands essential for academic and professional use. Students engaged enthusiastically, practicing on their own systems, and asking relevant questions throughout the session.

A highlight of the workshop was the segment on practical project-based learning, where students were encouraged to develop simple plans and gain confidence in their drafting skills. The session concluded with certificate distribution for all attendees and positive feedback from the participants.
