The Civil Engineering Department successfully conducted an expert lecture titled “Demystifying Sustainability: Engineering Smart Solutions and Industry 4.0” on 19th April 2025. The session was delivered by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anupam Kumar Singh, a renowned Professor at the School of Sustainability, NAMTECH – New Age Makers Institute of Technology (An Education Initiative of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India), Gandhinagar.

This insightful session aimed to unravel the concepts of sustainability in engineering practices and explore their integration with Industry 4.0 innovations. Prof. Singh shared his expert perspective on sustainable design frameworks, smart technologies for energy efficiency, and the role of intelligent systems in shaping future industries. His real-world examples and case studies helped students understand how theoretical sustainability concepts translate into industrial applications.

The lecture also emphasized the evolving role of engineers in developing sustainable technologies and adopting smart solutions that align with environmental goals and digital transformation.
