To help students gain confidence and prepare effectively for the recruitment process, the Training and Placement Cell of VGEC organized a Mock Interview Session on 4th September 2021. The session was led by two distinguished professionals from the industry – Mr. Kaushal Gopani from Torrent Power, and Ms. Jaya Kuchadiya from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (GSECL).

The primary objectives of this session were:

• To simulate real interview environments for pre-final and final year students.
• To provide feedback on technical and HR interview performance.
• To guide students on corporate expectations, resume structuring, and common interview pitfalls.
• To build confidence and polish communication and presentation skills.

During the session, the experts conducted live mock interviews with several students across different engineering branches. They shared valuable insights on how to handle pressure, think critically, and present oneself professionally in interviews. The session also covered behavioral aspects, industry-specific expectations, and the importance of first impressions.

Students actively participated in the session and benefitted immensely from the feedback provided. The presence of industry professionals offered a realistic perspective of placement interviews and boosted the students’ preparedness for the upcoming campus drives.
