To prepare students for real-life placement scenarios and boost their confidence, the Training and Placement Cell of VGEC organized a Mock Interview Session on 3rd September 2022. The session was conducted by Mr. Ruchit Monapara and Mr. Darshan Mehta, both experienced professionals from Torrent Power, one of the leading power distribution companies in India. STEPPING INTO THE INTERVIEW ROOM

Session Objectives:

• Simulate actual interview conditions for students to experience professional evaluation.
• Improve technical, HR, and communication skills among students.
• Deliver individual feedback for enhanced performance.
• Make students aware of current industry expectations and hiring trends.

The experts interviewed selected students on technical and behavioral questions, closely replicating real placement interview experiences. They offered valuable advice on:

• How to structure answers clearly and confidently,
• Common technical topics relevant to the electrical and allied domains,
• Tips for improving resumes and communication.

The session was well-received by students, many of whom appreciated the practical exposure and constructive criticism. The environment encouraged self-assessment and peer learning, and boosted the students’ readiness for upcoming placement drives.
