Mr. Piyush Yadav, an accomplished alumnus of VGEC, conducted the first session on “Guiding Students for GATE Preparation.” The session focused on the significance of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for students aspiring for higher education opportunities, research, and careers in PSUs. He explained the importance of building strong fundamentals in core subjects like Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, and Power Electronics. Students were guided on time management techniques, strategic subject selection, and the role of mock tests and previous year question papers.

Mr. Yadav also emphasized developing conceptual clarity over rote learning, adopting a disciplined study routine, and using reliable reference materials. His motivational advice encouraged students to start early preparation and remain consistent, which is the key to cracking GATE with a good score.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round, where students clarified their doubts regarding subject weightage, online resources, and balancing college academics with GATE preparation.
