    NSS VGEC in collaboration with NCC VGEC organized a webinar and an essay competition on “Freedom Struggle of India” to impart the knowledge of the freedom struggle within the students of the colleges as a part of the celebration for “Aazadi ka Amrut Mohatsav”. Students from VGEC actively participated in the essay competition and beautifully presented their views.

Discussion Points:

• During the Webinar, Dr. Alpesh Dafda, Program Officer of NSS VGEC explained various events during freedom struggle such as Jallianwala Bagh massacre, Dandi March, Revolt of 1857 etc. to the students.
• A short video named “The Real India between 1857 to 1947” was also played to educate the students about our history.
• Through essays, volunteers of NSS and NCC also shared their thoughts on how we should judiciously use our freedom and take India to greater heights.
