About the “TechXIT”

IT department 3rd year students had organized a Techfest titled “TechXIT 2022” to develop various soft technical skills. This was organized with the IE(I) Chapter of VGEC.

The IT department conducted “TechXIT-2022” Department level Techfest with multipletechnical events. We received an overwhelming response in all the events and it was a magnificent success. There were 130+ total participants in TechXIT 2022. There were nominal registration fees of Rs. 25 per student to register themselves in the techfest.

TechXIT-2022’s motive was to develop various skills of students in Co-Curricular activities and to expose them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields. TechXIT includes various events like: Coding Competition, WebDev Competition, Quizzes etc.

Coding Competition

The Coding Competitionevent was organized from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm on 1st Oct, 2022 under the guidance of Prof. Om Mehta. Therewere 95+ participants in the codingcompetition from the IT department. The event was coordinated by Students of 3rd year in B202, B204, B207 in B Block.

The challenges are designed in a way so that every studentcan find the problems interesting to solve. It was completely based on logical thinking and programming skills which requires thankful observation and judgments.

This event requires you to use Computers to code. It was on HackerRank Platform and there were 2 groups and 3 rounds. First group for 1st and 3rd semester studentsand another one for 5th and 7th semester students. The first round was a basic level round. There were 5 different Problem statements for each Group in every Rounds.

There were 75+ participants present for all Rounds and at the end of this eventa Winner and a Runner-up from each group got a prize. Winner got Rs. 1000 and Runner-up got Rs. 500 in Closing ceremony.

WebDev Competition

WebDev Competition event was organized at the same time from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm on 1st Oct, 2022 under the guidance of Prof. Om Mehta. There were 35+ participants in web development from the IT department. The event was coordinated by Students of 3rd year in B201 in B Block.

The Challenge was decided based on Basic Web knowledge, Animation/Transitions, and various function skills. Students had to develop webpages as per instructions given to them.

This event requires you to use Computers to code. There was no particular platform for this event, students can use any code editor where they feel comfortable to code and therewere a total 2 groups and 3 rounds. First group for 1st and 3rd semesterstudents and anotherone for 5th and 7th semester students. The first round was based on Basic HTML, CSS knowledge. Second round was based on Animations and transitions. Third round was based on Javascript to develop useful and unique functions.

There were 30+ participants present for all Rounds and at the end of this eventa Winner and a Runner-up from each group got a prize. Winner got Rs. 1000 and Runner-up got Rs. 500 in Closing ceremony.

Quiz Competition

Quiz was organized from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm on 1st Oct, 2022. There were 130+ participants from the IT Department. The event was coordinated by 3rd year Students in Vishvesariya Auditorium in A Block, VGEC.

Questions were formed as logical and reasoning puzzles. It was very helpful for everyone to develop logic and to prepare for Competitive exams and placements.

It was conducted on ProProfs platform where Students can easily access the Quiz and Submit their answers.

Closing Ceremony

At the Completion of these events, there was a Closing Ceremony of this techfest. Our respected HOD ma’am Prof. Vibha Patel, Many Faculty members, all the students and student coordinators were present in this closing ceremony.

Prof. Vibha Patel and other faculty members shared their valuable feedback to every student about TechXIT and motivated them to learn more and more and participate in different competitive competitions.

Winners and Runner-ups were declared in this ceremony and prizes were given by our Faculties. All winners got 1000 rs and all runner-ups got 500 rs as prize money.

Objectives of the “TechXIT”

• To motivate the studentsto take a part in different competitions
• To participate and to get a chance to win competitions
• To prepare student’s skillfor other such competitions

Outcomes of the “TechXIT”

• Students knew the benefitsof different Competitive events.
• Students started to think logically as per logicaland reasoning problems.
• Students started to developtheir soft technicalskills.
• Students felt about the competitive event's’environment.
