Exploring Research Opportunities in Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), Chandkheda, organized an expert session titled “Exploring Research Opportunities in Electrical Engineering” for the students of the 5th and 7th semesters on 18/8/2026 at the C 205. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 105 students of the Electrical Engineering Department. The expert speaker, Mr. Jignesh Borisagar, a distinguished alumnus of the department currently serving in the GPRD Cell, Government of Gujarat, shared valuable insights into the scope and opportunities in research and development in the field of electrical engineering. The session focused on emerging research areas, innovation and project development, research funding opportunities, and career prospects in electrical engineering. The expert also highlighted the importance of developing research aptitude, identifying relevant technical problems, adopting innovative approaches, and translating ideas into impactful projects and solutions. The session provided students with valuable guidance and motivation to explore research and development as a promising career pathway in Electrical Engineering.
