Introduction

An interactive expert session on "Cybersecurity in the Workplace" was organized by The Cyber Force (TCF) to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial practices. The session aimed to provide students with practical insights into modern cybersecurity trends, threat discovery, attack surface monitoring, and emerging hardware hacking methodologies, while presenting a structured roadmap to prepare for careers in the cybersecurity sector.

Objectives

  1. To understand current industry demands, hiring pipelines, compensation benchmarks, and entry-level career roles in cybersecurity.
  2. To evaluate how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming threat vectors and escalating system vulnerabilities.
  3. To gain practical awareness of Attack Surface Monitoring (ASM) platforms and intelligence tools such as Intelligence X (intelx.io).
  4. To explore physical IoT security and wireless penetration testing tools including ESP32, M5Stick, and Flipper Zero.
  5. To provide students with a clear 12-month certification and skill development roadmap.
  6. To reinforce workplace digital ethics, threat awareness regarding the dark web, and responsible safety practices.
