A Workshop titled “Oil & Gas Value Chain: From Rig to Retail” was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, VGEC Chandkheda, under the Institution of Engineers (India) [IE(I)], featuring Mr. Jenishkumar Patel, Process Safety Lead, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), who shared valuable insights from his 16.5+ years of experience in refinery operations, process safety, LNG and the Oil & Gas sector. The primary objective of the session was to provide students with practical exposure to the Oil & Gas value chain, refinery operations, DCS-based operations and process safety practices. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements through direct interaction with an experienced industry professional, enabling students to understand real-world operations and safety challenges in the Oil & Gas industry.
