| Abstract | Our proposed HandSpeak project represents a novel solution to the challenge of sign language identification. Unlike existing hardware-based products, our solution will be implemented in the form of a glove, which offers numerous advantages such as greater flexibility and mobility. Additionally, our solution will be affordable, making it accessible to a wider range of users. The use of flex sensors and accelerometers to collect hand sign data will ensure accurate identification and translation of sign language, improving the accuracy of communication between individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and those who are not. Overall, the HandSpeak project represents a unique and innovative approach to improving accessibility and inclusivity. |
