Abstract A method of bonding diamond crystals is described. A method of bonding diamond crystals comprising the steps of functionalizing surface of the diamond crystals by treating it with a mixture of concentrated H2SO4 5 having at least 98% w/w and concentrated HNO3 having at least 65% w/w, reacting the functionalized surface of the diamond crystals with a solution of Thionyl Chloride and Dimethylformamide (DMF) by placing diamond crystals in a container having the solution of Thionyl Chloride and Dimethylformamide (DMF), isolating the diamond crystals from the 10 solution of Thionyl Chloride and Dimethylformamide (DMF) by filtering, drying the isolated diamond crystals under vacuum, storing the vacuum dried diamond crystals in Bisphenol A powder, synthesizing polycarbonate, and transferring the vacuum dried diamond crystals stored in Bisphenol A powder and the synthesized polycarbonate to a container 15 for chemically binding the target surface of the diamond crystals by formation of a polycarbonate film.
