Abstract |
Solar provides the ability to generate power on a distributed basis. As the cost of solar electricity has fallen, the number of grid-connected solar PV systems become more popular. These low cost generations in distributed manner penetration has increased at rapid rate and affects the performance of conventional grid network and due to these protecting devices malfunction. To overcome the issues, the characteristics of protective devices must be re-defined or additional features must be incorporated with standard ones. Robust control should be employed in order to reconfigure the system to operate both in centralized as well as decentralized manner. |
